Truffled Mustard Glazed Ham
Ingredients
1 ham leg
20-25 cloves
1 jar of orange marmalade
2 tbsp truffled mustard
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. To prepare the ham leg remove the skin and score the fat in a diamond pattern being careful not to score too deep (you don’t want to cut all the way through the fat layer).
- Place the ham into a deep baking dish and stud each diamond with a clove. In a saucepan over medium to high heat, combine the marmalade, mustard, salt and pepper and simmer until it has thickened slightly.
- Pour ½ of the glaze over the ham and place in the oven for about 1 hour, basting the ham with the remaining glaze every 10-15 minutes.
The truffled mustard is also perfect in a vinaigrette or as a lovely mustard sauce for chicken or fish. Truffled mustard is also a great addition to a potato salad.
